Cool! Looks like they’ve got six volumes of “It’s Intermission Time” on DVD. You can find them if you do a search on “intermission” at the Soemthing Weird website. Do you remember which volume had this clip on it?

Actually, it was from one of Something Weird's compilitions that I've had for several years. I pulled it from VHS. It was one of their "Hey, Folks! It's Intermission Time!" tapes. They have several volumes of these. I'm not sure if they've released them on DVD yet.

Humuhumu, I found it on a compilation of vintage movie theatre and drive-in ads. I have more I plan on posting eventually. I think the character design and animation in this particlar ad is outstanding, though. There are a few more I have up on youtube now as well as a bunch of old movie trailers.

Tiki-Kate, you would *love* the Cartoon Modern book. I'm also a big fan of the modern style of animation that developed in the '50s; I've got bits and pieces of it scattered throughout my animation DVDs, but I really wish there were a DVD version of Cartoon Modern. Tikivixen, here's another animated Dr. Pepper intermission ad, but it's not nearly as good. That voice-over cat is just square, man, ya dig? SideShowCarny, thanks so much for uploading this clip!
